Specialist Occupational Therapy and Wellbeing Coaching: Emotional, Sensory & Somatic Wellness for Teens & Young Adults
Supporting young people aged 11–25 to understand themselves, value who they are, and build the skills they need for wellbeing and independence.
I’m a Specialist Occupational Therapist, Sensory Integration Practitioner, and Wellbeing Coach.
I support young people aged 11–25 who feel overwhelmed, stuck, disconnected from themselves, or exhausted by everyday life. For many of the young people I work with, life feels harder than it should. They may be trying to keep up with school, college, friendships, home life, or work, while also managing big feelings, sensory overload, burnout, shutdown, or a constant sense of being “different.”
At the heart of my approach is helping each person understand themselves more deeply, develop a strong sense of identity, and value who they are. Through a holistic, person-centred occupational therapy approach, I help clients understand the links between their emotional wellbeing, sensory processing patterns, body-based experiences, daily routines, activities, and environments. Together, we build the skills and confidence to use this insight in everyday life; supporting wellbeing, independence, and the ability to respond to life in ways that fit their needs and reflect who they are.
I provide occupational therapy assessments and professional reports to identify individual strengths, needs, and the barriers that may be affecting daily activities. I also offer intervention that combines occupational therapy and coaching with psychotherapeutic, sensory, and somatic approaches to support emotional regulation, resilience, and a stronger sense of wellbeing.
My work helps clients reconnect with their body’s signals, manage stress more effectively, and develop tools that fit their unique needs. Just as importantly, I support them to integrate these tools into everyday life, so that wellbeing is not just something they learn about in sessions, but something they can sustain and build on independently.
Many parents share concerns like:
Their young person often feels overwhelmed, anxious, or worn out by things that seem manageable for others.
School, college, or work feels like an uphill struggle - organisation, focus, or motivation just don’t come easily.
They find it difficult to relax or unwind, even when they’re clearly exhausted.
Changes to plans, routines, or expectations can quickly lead to frustration or shutdown.
Busy, noisy, bright, or unpredictable environments seem to drain them or trigger big reactions.
They're keen to be more independent but find balancing school, social relationships, and self-care really tough.
If any of this feels familiar, you don’t have to figure it out alone - reach out and we can explore how I can help.
What does SomaWise mean?
The word soma refers to the body as you experience it from within - your sensations, feelings, and internal awareness. Each of us is a unique soma, with our own way of sensing, responding, and moving through the world.
Being “SomaWise” means learning to trust that embodied sense of self - where your body and mind work together, not against each other. It’s about tuning into what feels right for you, and letting that guide your choices, boundaries, and wellbeing.
My work is grounded in seeing each person as an individual. I honour your unique strengths, challenges, and ways of experiencing the world. I work with a wide range of people, many of whom identify as neurodivergent. People may be drawn to this support if they are finding aspects of modern life to feel overstimulating, misaligned, or disconnected from their natural rhythms and ways of processing.
This is an affirming, inclusive, and collaborative space. Diagnosis or specific ways of identifying are not required to access my services.
